Operational Heartbeat Checklist

7 minutes to completeEvergreen guide — kept up to date

Use this checklist to assess whether your IT provider is monitoring what matters: backups, servers, Microsoft 365, firewall, antivirus, certificates, domains, storage, internet, Wi-Fi, UPS, VPN, patching, account lockouts, cloud backups, security alerts, hardware, warranty and mobile devices.

Work through this checklist with your IT provider. Mark each item as Yes, Partially or No / Unknown. Use the gaps to guide your next IT review conversation.

A monitoring system with no one watching it is not working. Monitoring only adds value if someone acts on alerts promptly, with a clear process and documented ownership.
